Boeing blasts Al Jazeera 787 documentary
Who cares so long as they don't have to deal with those pesky unions?
Boeing Co. officials are lambasting an Al Jazeera TV documentary on the 787, which alleges drug use by employees at its South Carolina production facility, as well as employees there claiming they won't even fly on the plane.
Al Jazeera began showing the documentary internationally on Wednesday and it now can be seen on YouTube.
In the 48-minute documentary, former engineers claim Boeing put schedule ahead of quality in developing the 787, one engineer claims he was fired from his job at Boeing after raising safety concerns, and employees at the Boeing 787 production facility in South Carolina talk about drug abuse and production errors there.
