Is anyone here on Washington Health Program?

Here's a link:

http://www.washingtonhealth.hca.wa.gov/

Currently My husband and I are covered privately but as you can imagine the costs are going far beyond what we can continue to pay. I was wondering if anyone is currently using the state plan and how they are finding it? Do you find a need to buy supplemental catastrophic care?

1. No, but I know someone on it with their child, living in a constant state of terror about changes.

Since McKenna rushed through his pre-Governor budget with the help of some turncoat Democrats in the middle of the night, I doubt it's going to last.

Someone else will know better, good luck whatever you do and don't forget how McKenna stabbed Gregoire in the back going behind her to join the anti-Obamacare lawsuit.

but I expect to lose it when the new budget takes effect.
I have had a good experience with it. I paid for my own individual insurance before poverty circumstances hit. They usually denied something in a claim (all or part) - probably because I was not part of a group and did not have much clout. It was always frustrating and expensive.
Basic Health has been very good. The state employees have always been decent to deal with too. Don't know about catastrophic care though.

4. The waiting list is long, and the program could be eliminated at any time

Count on that for sure if McKenna is elected.
