Do you like boats, Victorian buildings, festivals? Come on over. It's 2 hours from Seattle, an easy place to get to. And, we can meet!

Sept 9-11. There's lots to do and see inside the festival, but lots to see and do outside also.
I doubt there is any lodging left nearby, but if you want to make it more than a day trip, we've room for campers or tents, drop me a line.

(2,932 posts)An easy way and the most relaxing way to get there is to drive to the Coupeville - Port Townsend ferry terminal on Whidbey Island. Park your car there (Plenty of parking) and buy a round trip walk on ticket for the ferry.
Once you arrive on the other side, the wood boat festival is just a short walk from the Port Townsend ferry terminal.
Otherwise, if you want to take your car across, you need a reservation for the ferry and parking on the Port Townsend side is scarce.

(115,658 posts)Parking in PT is at the big park and ride by Safeway, then take the shuttle downtown, or else go up the hill by where the festival is and park in the residential area.
Best place to eat is CJ's, small fish and chips place by the pt marina, not by Pt Hudson where the festival is. It's off the main road so mostly locals go there. It's run and owned by a few hard working women also.
