WSDOT Giving Out Free 'Good To Go!' Passes For SR 99 Tunnel

SEATTLE, WA — WSDOT wants SR 99 tunnel users to use Good To Go! passes when tolling goes into effect later this year, so the agency will waive the purchase fee on one type of pass for a limited time.

Commuters can get a free "sticker pass," which usually costs $5 upfront. Drivers will still have to load $30 on the pass, and non-tunnel users are not eligible. Once tolling starts, Good To Go! pass-holders will pay 25 cents less per trip than drivers who don't have them.

Toll rates in the tunnel will run $1 to $2.25 depending on the time of day and day of the week.

To get a free pass, fill out this WSDOT survey. WSDOT is warning that a sticker pass might not be good for commuters who use SR 167 HOT lanes or I-405 HOV lanes — that's because the sticker pass doesn't give free rides to carpool drivers.
