Magnitude 3.4 earthquake recorded near Ocean Shores Tuesday morning

A magnitude 3.4 earthquake was recorded about 10 miles northeast of Ocean Shores Tuesday morning.

The quake occurred just after 4 a.m. at a depth of 21 miles, according to the USGS.

Only a handful of people reported feeling it to the USGS by 5 a.m.

Grays Harbor County Emergency Management says it is monitoring the situation.

These earthquakes are very common and from what I read not indicative of the big one CentralMass May 2019 #2

As active as the Ring of Fire has been, one of these events gets the region closer to having the Big One.
