i'm guessing it's because he comes from a right wing state.

but i'm not sure what you meant by "breaking with dems" . do you mean how he would vote ?

said he is the only one of the Dems but didn't say what his reasoning was for his decision. I am going to call his office tomorrow and wanted more info before I speak with a staffer.

He's been loyal to preserving the ACA and voting against the tax bill. He's the only Dem defector on a continuing resolution that requires 60 votes to break the filibuster. No harm, no foul.

It may make a difference in the 2018 Senate race. If you would like a Republican to win his seat, then go right ahead and harass him and his staff.
