Joe Manchin - D
Patrick Morrisey - R
Don Blankenship - Constitution
Rusty Hollen - Libertarian.

No registered write-in candidates that I could find.

So who's the choice. Joe or ?????

I don't like Joe any more than the next Dem but he's the furthest left of the group so, by definition, he would get my vote 8 days a week. I'd like someone further left to have a realistic chance but it ain't so.

Unfortunately, as bad as I hate to...I will vote for Joe just to hopefully keep Morrisey out. Feel like I have no choice.

it was hard to find a Republican there and in the rest of the state for decades. I remember; how times have changed.

It’s great to hear from you! I know what you mean...when I was growing up there were very few Republicans here. The ones we did have were mostly rich and thought they were better than everyone else. That part hasn’t changed. Now we are overwhelmed by how many of them there are and especially how corrupt they manage to be.

being asked about the SC vote, and he replied that he didn't know yet and has 800,000 (!?) people with pre-existing medical conditions. That's huge with the 1.8 million population.

According to a recent post here, the ACA caused the no. of uninsured in the Mt. State to go down from 26% to 9% if I recall correctly. That will change severely now with a far right judge like Kav, and steady GOP damage to the ACA, Medicaid and Medicare.

So life will become more difficult for many people as a result. Besides banning Fox and hate radio, and supporting Dems. and grassroots action I don't know what can be done about the large uninformed populace that continues to support extreme conservatives.

I've pointed out WVa.'s long history of voting Dem. but the 'here and now' viewpoint is strong. A good thing there are still many of us around who remember different times, prior to the later 90s & 2000s when WVa. turned red.

how people can’t see what’s happening and then they turn around talk about the Democrats being the bad guys. Doesn’t make a bit of sense.

The rise of the red here has been disgusting ever since the increasing gerrymandering since 1993. Also with the declining population we may well get down to a single district within the next 15 years or sooner, and gerrymandering won't matter.

I miss Harley Staggers and Bob Wise as our representatives. I miss Robert Byrd and Jay Rockefeller as our senators.
I miss the days when we elected Democratic governors who didn't turn Republican.

I miss our Democratic legislature in WV.

Time to bring the Democrats back.

It is disgusting. I miss all those you mentioned as well. Mostly I miss feeling like the elections were fair and not tampered with and although there were always problems at least we didn’t have to fear all this corruption while having “loved ones” who support it blasting hate all the time. Republicans have made and are making life miserable for millions but blaming democrats.
