West Virginia Gov. Justice still looking to eliminate state's personal income tax

CHARLESTON — Shortly after Jim Justice won re-election in November with support from more than 65% of the state’s voters, the governor began expressing his desire to eliminate the state’s personal income tax.

Justice, who become a Republican in 2017 after he was originally elected as a Democrat, has promised to keep backing the issue in the months ahead after lawmakers in the Republican-controlled West Virginia Legislature failed to pass a tax reform package during this year’s regular session.

More Republicant thinking, can't balance a budget.
