As bad as it is to make the GQ List of The Worst People of 2015 with a listing of #13 (i.e. considered worse than Roger Goodell of the NFL, The Confederate Flag, Roger Ailes, Rahm Emanuel, 2 celebrity wife beaters, and pharmaceutical price gouger Martin Shkreli), more bad news is creeping towards Scott Walker.

Despite massive spending by dark money groups, multiple lawsuits at every level in the land (even suing the individual prosecutors and the Government Accountability Board), a corrupt State Supreme Court decision by Justices who were elected to their seats by the same dark money groups being investigated, and media poodles pounding out Walker propaganda, John Doe just won’t die from the plethora of fatal wounds heaped upon it. They keep killing it in every way possible, but it’s still slightly alive.

This summer, the Wisconsin Supreme Court took up the question of whether to stop the investigation into alleged coordination between Walker's 2012 recall campaign and conservative outside groups that receive unlimited donations from undisclosed donors. The problem was that the election campaigns of two justices on the state's top court had benefited significantly from spending by those same groups accused of illegal coordination with Walker. The special prosecutor overseeing the investigation, along with legal ethicists, asked the two justices with conflicts of interest to recuse themselves. But no justices stepped aside.

The court shut down the investigation by ruling that the type of coordination at issue was actually legal—that campaigns and outside dark-money groups can coordinate as long as they don't produce ads that explicitly say "vote for" or "vote against" a candidate. And that was supposed to be the end of the story.

As soon as it became evident that Republican John Doe Chief Prosecutor Francis Schmitz was looking towards appealing the State Supreme Court decision to end the John Doe Probe to the US Supreme Court, the RW majority on the State Supreme Court took swift action; they removed him as Chief Prosecutor. That doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it is. It means that any appeal he might mount would be on his own dime which makes even filing a US Supreme Court (with its $25,000 filing fee) financially impossible for the average working stiff.......................

"Hahahahaha! Scott Walker Has Some More Problems.

I read this piece expecting news that Walker is having more problems. However I read this and it appears there is no way the Joe Doe investigation will continue because an appeal to the supreme court would come out of a fired state supreme court judges pocket, now I am depressed.

Thanks a lot great article

the people of Wisconsin have to wake up and vote for changes. The mid Summer Court decision proves the Corruption of the Levers of Power in Wisconsin. Koch Brothers scored big time. Remember,Minnesota is booming, with the exception of the Iron Range and that is Commodity related, and the outward migration of Wisconsin's Brain Power is in High Gear towards Minnesota. No one is reporting on this fact, and what is happening to the Real Estate in Wisconsin, what is the walk away numbers, what are the foreclosure rate. When you lose your Educators and Scientific and Engineering talent, you are in deep do do.

I remembered the good old days when Wisconsin was a progressive alternative to Iowa and would have probably moved across the Mississippi if it still was.

Yeah now I entertain dreams of moving to Minnesota every so often. Especially when she or that asswipe Steve King open their traps.

Minnesotans are receptive of Ioweigien's . Back in the day, when it came to public education. National rankings were California(1), Iowa(2)Wisconsin(3)and Minnesota (4)that was 1960. Of course that changed when Ronnie Raygun took over California, and Walker has followed the same game plan in Wiscony. Noticed Branstad keeps trying to wreck your state. As for Minny,we have seen the Rethugs do a real number on it in the late 70's and during the 80's. Now with the DFL running the show, back to the top of the heap again.

Fortunately we have a slight Democratic majority in the Senate to keep Mr. Brainfart from his dreams of Teabag Glory.

claiming all kinds of garbage, and he did not have the bucks to pull a major push back. Alec and the Kochs pulled the same on Tom Daschle in South Dakota. This is the new way the Rethugs work, with the so called media in Private hands, going to see more of it.

Russ was getting hammered at his listening sessions over his vote on the ACA, long before anyone heard of Ron Johnson.

Johnson had momentum coming out of the primaries and rode voter discontent and the Tea Party wave to victory.

It's not 2010 anymore, ACA isn't destroying America, Johnson's time has come.

the pros were saying Russ by 1+ points. Started to hear stories about huge ad buys by outsiders, and the rest is history. Who ever said Citizens United would not be a factor is a liar.
