Rebecca Bradley leads JoAnne Kloppenburg in latest Marquette poll - not likin' this news.

Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Bradley holds a small lead over Appeals Court Judge JoAnne Kloppenburg, but a week before the election one in six voters are still undecided, according to the latest Marquette Law School Poll.

Bradley tops Kloppenburg 41-36 percent in the latest poll, with 18 percent undecided. In February both candidates were tied at 30 percent, with 31 percent undecided.

The poll is the first since reports earlier this month of Bradley’s caustic writings as a Marquette University student 24 years ago in which she called AIDS patients and homosexuals degenerates, compared abortion to the Holocaust and slavery, and wrote that an author legitimately suggested women play a role in date rape. Bradley apologized for what she wrote about AIDS patients and homosexuals.

Poll director Charles Franklin noted support strongly correlates to party preference. Among likely Republican primary voters, Bradley leads 69-11 with 17 percent undecided. Among likely Democratic primary voters, Kloppenburg leads 64-12 with 17 percent undecided.

The poll also found more than a third of likely voters don’t know enough about the candidates to form an opinion. A third have a favorable view of Bradley, while 28 percent have an unfavorable view, and 30 percent hold a favorable view of Kloppenburg while 35 percent have an unfavorable view.

I just liked things a whole lot better when he was steadily sinking. Is this just the Repubs liking him again, with indys (and Dems) still disapproving?

are not helping either. Your article says 1 out of 3 don't know enough about candidates to form an opinion. Presumably that also includes voters who are progressive leaning and who may be on this forum. That's exactly who this advertising is intended to reach.

assume most of you are from or in WI though.

So, I assume those Bradley ads are popping up for you too? Im just so frikkin sick of the dark money pouring into WI and screwing up our elections - and this ad is a manifestation of that. That its on DU just adds insult to injury.

Carry on - happy voting everyone!
