Wisconsin school officials investigate offensive taunts

Ugh. This time in Wisconsin.

A Wisconsin school district says it’s investigating racist taunts directed at female high school soccer players during a recent game.

Beloit Memorial coach Brian Denu says a small group of Elkhorn students taunted minority players from Beloit with racial slurs and chants such as “Donald Trump, build that wall.”

Denu tells WISC-TV (http://bit.ly/1S3cotT ) that the insults caused some of his players to leave the game last Thursday night. He says it may have come from a small number of students, but it made a big impact.

Elkhorn district administrator Jason Tadlock says officials have confirmed some students on the sidelines were yelling offensive comments and that the matter is being investigated.

I hope these students face serious discipline for what they did.

2. elkhorn is the county seat of walworth county a rather red area

would view them as more traditional gop as opposed to tea bag

i lived there some years ago and still know some folks
would think they are quite embarrassed

when i lived there the next town over Delevan was more diverse...mostly hispanic
no love lost between delavan and elkhorn at least back then and from what i hear still....

yes i can see this happening
