Menards refuses to build store in Ohio while Obama is president!!
Menards, the home improvement giant found in violation of federal labor laws two weeks ago, has announced that it's not building an Ohio store as planned. The reason: President Barack Obama.
"We are a family owned business and with the Obama Administration scaring the dickens out of all family businesses in the U.S.A at present and with no certainty if the next administration will be any better, we have decided not to risk expansion until things are more settled," Menards spokesperson Jessie O'Mara told the New Philadelphia Times-Reporter in an email.
The Eau Claire-based chain's owner, John Menard, is intensely anti-union.
Seth Goldstein of the Office and Professional Employees International union Local 153 in New York filed eight complaints with the National Labor Relations Board against Menards last year, five of which were found to have merit. He sees a connection between the NLRB decision and the decision to postpone the New Philadelphia store.
"I don't think it's a coincidence that within days of the board finding merit on numerous violations that John Menard has now decided that he's not happy with the Obama administration," Goldstein said in an interview last Thursday.

(149 posts)Since John Menard won't expand in Ohio it will save the state from discovering him disposing of toxic, hazardous materials in a curbside dumpster.
He is an asshat.
