In the trial going on now, the state brought in two municipal clerks, from Cedarburg and Port Washington (Grothman territory) to testify. They said their residents were happy with the voter ID law. One did admit that what works well in Cedarburg might not work well in a place like Milwaukee. Indeed.
Also, watch for the state to push the idea that because turnout was larger than usual, that shows there was no problem. I observed at a ward in the inner city of Milwaukee and no one showed up without an ID. How many stayed home because they knew they didn't have one? Never mind.
