Gov. Scott Walker's administration must release most records related to the governor's proposed 2015 budget changes to the University of Wisconsin System's mission statement, known as the Wisconsin Idea, a Dane County judge ruled on Friday.

Tom Evenson, a spokesman for Walker, said hours later that the governor is committed to transparency and will release the records Friday.

Judge Amy Smith on Friday said Walker's office erroneously withheld 12 email exchanges and six of nine attachments sought by the liberal advocacy group Center for Media and Democracy after Walker's office proposed changing the wording of the Wisconsin Idea during the 2015 budget cycle.

The Walker administration, which pulled back on the changes, denied the group and media outlets, including the Wisconsin State Journal, access to the records by saying they were part of a "deliberative process."

Smith, in her order, rejected the governor's reasoning, saying a deliberative process exemption does not exist under the state's open records law and was not going to accept the governor's "invitation" to create a new one. ........................

I respect when people support Hillary Clinton. If they want to use her logo as a icon, kewl. When I saw this post and clicked through to see the Clinton logo next to the headline, it made me look twice.

Really, so Scott Walker and repugs are the only people that should be held accountable for transparency? Despite the denials I have seen in some threads, there is an FBI investigation and the State Department has acknowledged what she did was out-of-compliance with rules.

Just sayin...

Its a curious disconnect between title and graphic at top...

I sure hope we don't end up with a new President where many are happy with questionable behavior they would scream about if another boooooosh regime did it.
