Rep. Grigsby in intensive care; situation described as 'grave'

http://www.todaystmj4.com/news/local/136079228.html

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Democratic State Assemblywoman Tamara Grigsby has been admitted to intensive care at a hospital, and her situation is described as "grave."

According to a statement from her office, Grigsby was suffering from a "sudden decline in her health," though the statement did not provide specifics as to the cause of her condition.

"Tamara Grigsby has always been a fighter. There is every reason to believe she will overcome this difficulty with the same fire and determination that has served her in the past," said spokesman Kevin Grigsby.

huh, I didn't know she was ill, I wish her the best.

Wispolitics said: "Throughout this legislative session, Rep. Tamara Grigsby (D-Milwaukee) has been quietly battling a very serious illness. "

compassionate and articulate. I always sit riveted to Wisconsin Eye when she speaks. She has given many impassioned pleas this year. I do remember one time when the Republicans decided at the last minute to change either the day of an important hearing or vote, and she begged them not to change it because she had a doctor's appointment that was very important. I wondered at the time if she was alright. God, I hope this woman survives...we need her here in Wisconsin.

Sending DU vibes her way...

they knew she had a treatment that day. Fuckers.

The last time the Assembly was in session, it went late into the night. Tamara was there with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders. It was clear that she was not doing well, but I was hoping against hope that it was just the flu or something.
