Good News from Cleaveland: Tommy Thompson doubts Walkers re-electability

...former Gov. Tommy Thompson raised doubts about Walker's ability to win another term leading the Badger State.

"He’s got to build his popularity," Thompson told reporters. "If he builds his popularity, anything can happen, but you don’t run for election when you’re at a 35 percent approval rating."

With the exception of one poll in March, Walker's approval rating in Wisconsin has been below 40 percent since his short-lived presidential campaign. He exited the race in September 2015 and has since put a renewed focus on reacquainting himself with voters throughout the state.

The latest Marquette University Law School poll, released earlier this month, put Walker's approval rating at 38 percent.
