Still In Wisconsin (4,450 posts)
Hey Wisconsin- FUCK YOU !!!!!
That's right, FUCK YOU Wisconsin. You elected Ron Fucking Johnson, who says food and shelter are privileges, TWICE over Russ Feingold.
So, FUCK Wisconsin. This fucking shitty state deserves all the pain it's gonna get. Oh, yeah, I live here and have for 50 of my 52 years. I'd be the hell outta here too if I could leave. Because of aging parents on both sides of my family, I can't. And if I seem unhinged it's because I am. I work for the state and Scott Walker took away my family's mental health benefits a few years back.

1. Once you get out of Milwaukee and Madison,
Wisconsin is a lot like Alabama.
I know you're not suppose to bash locations here. But I used to live in northeast Wisconsin, so I'm just saying. |

9. Can confirm
That's not bashing anything, that's stating reality. I still live in NEW, people wear ignorance and bigotry as a badge of honor. Rojo our dumb senator is just a reflection of that.

2. Let them eat cheese!
Politicians from Wisconsin are brain dead from eating too much artery clogging cheese that affects their mind.

3. When did WI start to go GOP crazy?
What was the primary cause, the economy?

4. They had a good economy.
I don't really know, with their progressive history.
My mother lives there, and so do some of my cousins. They are all Democrats. My daughter lived there and went to school there for quite a while. She is in California now. None of my family can understand what happened just to the north of us. It's pitiful. |

10. Primary cause was GOP billionaire propaganda
Bradley foundation has used all the Koch / DeVos type GOP billionaire tools to radicalize Wisconsin:

12. I think it started...
...with jealousy over the solid middle-class life styles of union workers and professionals such as teachers...
Jobs that didn't require an educations or apprenticeships were slowly shoved to the bottom of the economic heap and the f-ing tea party idiots driven by megabucks from wealthy idealogues played the resentment like a fiddle to elect the snake oil salesmen we call the Republican party. |

15. Yes.
The attack on unions after Wanker was elected. Then the gerrymandering. It’s all Walker and his Koch money.

14. Messaging
Heading into 2010 Wisconsin had a major structural deficit and Walker made it a central issue in his campaign. Barrett had no response.

7. I live here too
and no, we don't deserve what you say, anymore than the entire country deserves Trump. The Rs cheat lie and steal, that is how they got our state. Until we figure out ways to get around that...gerrymandering, getting our voters out, etc...we are fucked.

11. Don't worry it will get better
Trump won by only 20k votes and that with serious voter suppression.
Turnout in future races, especially young person turnout, will be key but WI will swing back left. You can help by telling everyone you know about the Bradley foundation's goals and how Fox and Limbaugh incite fear for their own profit. |

13. Exactly right
Wisconsin is doomed if we can't get all the sh*theads out of our government.
All the Koch puppets, ALEC members, Club for Growthers, and the intellectually challenged are going right down the tubes, and dragging this state with it. Lotsa Luck! |
