Still In Wisconsin
(4,450 posts)Walker is a dim bulb in a lot of ways but he's decent at reading the political winds, and he knows that right now they're in the face of any Republican running in the 2018 midterms. Given the results of the special election in Western Wisconsin a few months ago and the Supreme Court race where Baldspot's anointed candidate got trounced by a Milwaukee liberal, Scott is just downright terrified at the prospect of having to get his first actual private sector job.
My prediction: Walker loses by a percentage point or two in November to Tony Evers. If Walker wins, expect a "budget repair bill" in early 2019 to close the hole his latest round of tax cuts will blow in the State budget. You know... "necessary" cuts to the UW system, public education, and stuff like that.

...In signing the nearly $137 million measure, the GOP governor also used his powerful veto pen to expand a separate sales tax holiday from one weekend this summer to five days Aug. 1-5....
...Democrats said that with the rebate Walker was looking less at family checkbooks and more at his own bottom line...
This tax rebate is nothing more than a bad-faith attempt to distract voters from his record before this falls election once again, Gov. Walker puts his own political ambitions before the needs of Wisconsin families," said former Madison Rep. Kelda Roys, just one of the Democrats competing to run against Walker in the Nov. 6 election... more...
What planet are these scrooges from... $100..
Didn't Paul Ryan say an extra $1.50 week was good news to some Wisconsin families? What complete waste of space these "humans" are.
