This is so F***ed up. Wisconsin statehouse windows are being boarded up

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - State officials are bracing for any potential unrest at the capitol building in downtown Madison.

Crews have started boarding the windows outside the statehouse. By late Monday morning, wooden sheets and braces lined up next to each window along the first floor of the building.

A Dept. of Administration spokesperson told NBC15 “proactive cautionary measures” are happening in state capitals across the country – and Madison is no exception. She explained they plan to cover all exterior ground floor windows.

With an eye toward keeping Capitol Police safe and secure, the spokesperson added the agency does not make public the details of its security measures, nor does it comment on potential threats.

The allocation of their Electoral Votes. From statewide to grossly gerrymandered congressional districts.

to stop.

The WisGOP will never agree to any changes, unless the voters enforce a statewide binding referendum to take mapping from their greedy little Trumpie hands and put it into a citizens/expert board.

Even getting a referendum on a ballot is probably impossible. The GOPs may have changed that process, back under Walker, during a midnight secret meeting!

It will not happen before they do new maps in 2021, unless a referendum is voted on and passed that allows for maps to be changed and control given to a citizen//expert group.

Of course, the courts may draw a map, as the new one will surely wind up in court..again.

I remember the damage the teachers allegedly did with their blue Painter's Tape back in 2011. Reince Priebus estimated 10s of thousands in damage when they mounted anti-Walker posters on the granite walls.

At the same time FOX showed rioting nurses and teachers in downtown Madison in February (20 degrees) with palm trees in the background.

The reich-wing is loaded with these crazy lies and propaganda. We're supposed to believe the Rodney King riot video could replace a nonviolent protest?

What utter nonsense! A slight majority of voters are Dems, yet our damn Legislature is 2-1 GOP. Why would these rubes attack a GOP majority statehouse? The State Police and National Guard better be at the Governor's Mansion instead of wanking at the Capitol.

They're not going to fuck around with these yokels if they show up.

The capital is on an isthmus.

It's easy to protect.

We're used to Amish buggies and our skyscrapers are full of corn. The shortest distance route is through the Dells, but the drivers in my family (everyone but me) prefer the Interstate.

They redid many of the roads on my journey. It's quite fun to drive now. I always slow down when I
come to a crest in the hill... just incase there's a buggy on the other side.

The buggies are equipped with battery-powered lanterns and taillights.

The horses haven't discovered Budweiser yet.

Not only have to watch the crazies outside. You have to watch the crazies inside too. I think the guy in OR is under investigation and could be censured or expelled. Or maybe he will just get a personal State Patrol escort as he wanders around the legislature building. I feel bad for the police and National Guard that gets caught in the middle on this.
