Start voting out Scott Walker on May 21 - Vote Early or Absentee!

You can vote absentee in person at the clerk’s office until Friday before the election. Contact your Municipal clerk to find out hours: http://test.gab.wi.gov/clerks/directory

Vote early for Tom Barrett and Mahlon Mitchell so there will be no waiting on election day June 5!

You may also request a mailed absentee ballot. The Wisconsin Government Accountability Board website has instructions for absentee voting:

Seems like a lot of the controversy and crap the Repubs like to play with are the absentee ballots. At least iiirc some got lost, some got found in garbage bins, they're often the one's held up for contentions....I don't know, I think it might be best to just show up on election day.

The University of Wisconsin is over for the school year, and a lot of people associated with it might be leaving for the summer right away. And a lot of people leave for the summer months or take vacations in June anyway.

I don't know of any particular problems in Wisconsin with the early voting or absentee system. When I've used it I actually checked in at my polling place to double check, and they had a record of my already having voted.

3. Just because Wisc hasn't, doesn't mean it won't have a such a problem.

I'm sure many in those counties didn't think their absentee ballot would be in contention when they used them.

Granted if they have to, better to than not to, just thinking perhaps a follow up as you did, or perhaps just go on election day, assuming we can trust those results, which I hear is usually iffy at best these days.

4. So you're posting to express a general angst about all kinds of voting?

Isn't the angst about Walker enough?

whereas the concerns about conspiracy type manipulating of the booths have been proven to be possible, but I haven't recalled any actual cases of it being presented as with absentee ballots.

7. Some Nurses & Docs have to vote absentee as they'll be working a 12 hr. shift that day.

Their employers expect them to vote absentee since their schedule was posted 2 to 3 wks prior to the recall day.
I know about a half a dozen who are voting absentee.
Tho I have suspicions as to what happens to absentee votes also.

to vote early - there were a lot of eager voters. People have all kinds of reasons for not voting on the day of the election.

But when you're in Madison, you know the odds are you're surrounded by Dems. Some of us just want to GOTV.
