Al Franken comes to Tammy's aid.....

Dear Me.....

Now that I’m a Senator, I look for opportunities to put aside old, petty grievances and forgive longtime opponents.

I’m referring, of course, to Wisconsin. Does it grind my gears that the Packers have won four Super Bowls while the Vikings have never won one? It does. Do I like the cheesehead hats? I do not. But that doesn’t mean the good people of Wisconsin don’t deserve to have an awesome progressive Senator.

That’s why I’m proud to support Tammy Baldwin. I’ve watched her demonstrate the kind of bold progressive leadership it’ll take to win tough fights in Washington -- and a keen understanding of what it means to be middle class in America today.

Her campaign is trying to raise $25,000 this month to fight back against special interest attack spending -- will you click here to help?

Just as Vikings fans can’t wait to see Adrian Peterson back on the field this September, I can’t wait for the day next January when I see Tammy Baldwin sitting with me in the Senate. Except I don’t expect her to do much sitting -- she’s the kind of leader who likes to stand up and make change happen.

It's Tammy’s commitment to social and economic justice, passion for progressive principles, and limitless dedication to moving our country forward that make her such a great advocate for middle class America. And it’s your support that we need to help her pull out a win in November.

The usual cast of right-wing attack dogs are hot on Tammy’s trail, and her campaign needs your help (by which, of course, I mean a couple bucks of your money). Please click here to make a contribution now and help Tammy Baldwin raise $25,000 by the end of the month!

And think of it this way. If Wisconsin is represented by a talented progressive like Tammy Baldwin, maybe it won’t be so hard to watch the Packers win next season.

Okay, it will be. It’ll be awful. Just awful. But still. Help Tammy out, would you? And tell ‘em Al sent you. Thanks for your help.

Skol Vikings -- and go Tammy,

Al

P.S.: One thing Packers fans and Vikings fans can agree on -- besides the fact that Tammy is awesome -- is that adding an “extra ask” in the P.S. of a fundraising email is perhaps the greatest political fundraising innovation of our time. It’s true. So won’t you join me in supporting Tammy’s campaign with a contribution?

and needless to say, I did help. I love Al and Tammy
