http://www.politiscoop.com/us-politics/wisconsin-politics/1421-breaking-new-poll-shows-wisconsin-campaign-for-governor-tied.htmlMILWAUKEE A new poll from a well-respected pollster shows the race for Wisconsin governor tied at 49%-49% less than one week before the election.
The poll confirms that momentum in the final days of the campaign is firmly with Tom Barrett as the people of Wisconsin learn more about Scott Walkers potential involvement in a criminal corruption case that has already resulted in 15 felony charges against six former Walker aides and associates.
The more Walker stonewalls about whether he is the target of this investigation, whether he will release the emails that are at the heart of the probe, and why he is the only governor in America with a criminal defense fund, the more the people of Wisconsin view him as unfit for the governors office, said Barrett for Wisconsin Communications Director Phil Walzak.

(11,330 posts)I hated all the money that came into Cali from out-of-state to support our horrible referendum Prop 8.
So I'm making this contribution feeling a bit at odds with myself.
Good luck to all of Wisconsin next Tuesday.

(24,331 posts)Being tied is FAR from a win, particularly given the no doubt extreme lengths they're going to go to to try and win in the field.

(24,331 posts)Tell me this: if support is divided evenly going into the election, who do you think is going to pull more dirty shit with field operations and vote suppression, us or them?

(16,186 posts)I am a realist too, but the debates showed Barrett a clear choice. The ongoing investigation and Walker's "admission" that his legal defense fund is for him, and the fact that we have been out pounding the pavement---them, not so much is a positive step. Help us out, willya? $, phone banking, or whatever will help is appreciated

(1,515 posts)Well, maybe a few in their 40s.
Wisconsin Dems need to get this information out.
Good luck from the Twin Cities. We're with you (and I am sending another donation to Barrett's campaign).

Good you've contributed.

(14,177 posts)But the reality should be that it is 65%-35% well really he should be winning by 100%. But, I would think that only the 35% that are hard core Republicans would be voting for a criminal.

(16,186 posts)They have all been unable to say why except for a few that say "those unions!" Of course, many of those people are IN A UNION at my place of employment!! Don't understand how people can be so daft, but there it is. Keep fighting!
