My nephew just text me, Bob Uecker just died this morning....

Assuming it is true, RIP, Mr. Uecker. You were one of a kind.

He was the star of the movie, especially when he got to drinkin' between innings

7. I thought about this when I read the name..he was hilarious in the movie

8. A friend of mine who did some play by play sports got to know him and said he was the

…. nicest guy in the world even after he became famous.

Ueck was the light of the Brewers, the soundtrack of our summers, the laughter in our hearts, and his passing is a profound loss. He was the heart and soul of Wisconsin and a dear friend. Bob loved people; his presence warmed every room and he had a way of welcoming all of us into his world as if we were lifelong friends.

Saying goodbye to Bob shakes us all. He was so much more than a Milwaukee Brewers icon. He was a national treasure. Bob entertained us with his words and storytelling, so it is no surprise that his passing now leaves us at a loss for our own words.

11. I buried my husband this past May, and when we purchased our plot to be buried in....it was in the

front row of our small town cemetery. We laughed at the time about it being in the front row like Bub Uecker would say it…..even during that so sad a time, I did manage to smile when my husband was put into the ground, and him being in the front row. Bob was a one of a kind gentleman, humble, sincere, and just so funny. R I P Mr. Milwaukee Baseball.
