Wisconsin Supreme Court Judge Candidate (D) Makes Stop in Manitowoc
One of two Wisconsin Supreme Court candidates stopped in Manitowoc two weeks ago to talk to the Manitowoc County Democratic Party.
Fourth District Appeals Judge Chris Taylor put it bluntly, saying that she’s running because it gives Wisconsin the opportunity, “To make sure that we have a pro-democracy majority on our state supreme court until at least 2030.”
Taylor then explained her background as a law school graduate, including her experience as a private attorney and the law and policy director for Planned Parenthood.
She also served in the Wisconsin State Assembly for nine years.
The judge then reemphasized her belief that there needs to be a strong state supreme court, while saying they need to continue protecting elections.
