When is a lie not a lie

The other day I watched another one of those daily "hard hat" press conferences by Tony Abbott and in it he mentioned that Julia Gillard is a "liar" at least 10 times. Also, in that same press conference he referred to the means testing of the health care rebate as a "health tax". Why does the media let him get away with it?

I cannot help but feel disgusted with our media, the opposition and also dumb arse voters who never look beyond the headlines and are carried away by 3 word slogans.

get their news from Channels 9 or 7, and their opinions from shock-jocks, nothing should be surprising.

So much easier if you let others make up your mind for you.

3. Abbott and Co. are now blaming the Gillard government for the wave of drive-by shootings in Sydney.

Seems it's all their fault for letting Sylvania post office personnel bring in all those guns.

Funny, but last time I looked, it was the Libs running things in Sydney.

how much longer is the Coalition going to be allowed to get away with all this crap. With Bob Carr being a "new" face in town, maybe the media might acknowledge some of things he says because he's still a novelty to them. God knows we cant trust the media to report news accurately.

into the media, including the issue of bias. "We don't really think there's a
problem" they said, but the truth was they were probably worried that if they
said there was a problem, they'd be attacked even more.

And it's politicians who gave Murdoch and others so much power, by not insisting that there be strict limits on the media owned in any one city. And Labor has been as bad as the Libs in that regard.
