And now the Australian Liberal Party brings you (again) - Peter Dutton

The hapless Peter Dutton was perhaps just beginning to hope that the Australian Border Force fiasco of two weeks ago was receding from memory, when he did it again:

"In just 23-seconds of audio Mr Dutton cracked not one but two unfortunate jokes, that not only risked offending Indigenous Australians and Pacific Islanders but made light of climate change, which was on the agenda of the summit Mr Abbott had just travelled to Papua New Guinea for.

"It's like Cape York time," said Mr Dutton, reflecting on the meeting running late, in an apparent reference to the stereotypical view of remote indigenous communities lacking punctuality.

"When Mr Abbott suggested he had experienced "a bit of that up in Port Moresby" Mr Dutton followed up with: "time doesn't mean anything when you're about to be, you know, have water lapping at your door."

Then Social Affairs Minister Scott Morrison broke the bad news: "There's a boom up there".

This man – who used to be a po.lice.man in Queensland – was dubbed the "worst Health Minister ever" by members of the Australian Medical Association. He is now the Minister for Immigration. Often drawn by cartoonists as either a potato or a brussels sprout, Dutton famously spearheaded the Australian Border Farce visa-checking exercise which spectacularly imploded. (Something he denies knowing anything about, even though it's his department.)

Where do the Libs find these people?
