It was once the most trusted broadcaster in the country, and rightly so. But now it's controlled by a Murdoch hack, Michelle Guthrie - she has already shut down the Online feature "The Drum", which featured articles by various journalists on the politics of the day. This is what Murdoch wanted, because it's a rival to his newspapers' online presence, and she's obliged, within weeks of taking over as Managing Director.

ABC is using their own forecasts, and currently have Libs on 70, ALP on 67, but the AEC says it's ALP 71 to Libs 70.

Take it all with a grain of salt until the final figures are released.

has made a deal to support Turnbull.

He's quite the character, Bob Katter - arch-conservative in most things, but genuinely works hard for the people on the land. And is noted for always wearing his Akubra hat, even to television interviews.

He has laid down some rules in return for his support, and wants to have them in writing:

No union-bashing
No more foreign ownership of Oz assets
No backpacker tax
If your mother dies, you can't go to the funeral
Don't go to the bathroom

That if Libs get in, their majority will be so slim they won't dare leave the chamber when a vote is being taken.
