Christy Clark’s popularity tumbles, new poll suggests
NDP leader Adrian Dix is now the top choice to take over the reins of government, according to the latest Angus Reid opinion poll, which also shows the New Democrats have widened their lead over the Liberals to 14 percentage points in voter preference.
Until the poll released today, Premier Clark had scored ahead of Mr. Dix as the leader best suited to be Premier, despite the NDPs lead in popular preference.
This time, 26 per cent of those polled chose Mr. Dix, compared with 22 per cent opting for Ms. Clark, an increase of seven points for the NDP leader since the last Angus Reid poll in November, and a drop of three points by the former radio host.
B.C. Conservative leader John Cummins, the choice of 8 per cent, and Jane Sterk, the preferred premier for 3 per cent of those surveyed, trailed far behind. Twenty-five per cent said they werent sure, while 16 per cent chose none of [the four leaders].
