OTTAWAConservative MPs have been quietly approaching Justin Trudeau to tell him theyre refusing to take part in their partys planned mass-mail attack against the new Liberal leader.
Already a number of Conservatives have mentioned to me privately that theyre not particularly appreciative of it and they dont intend to use them, Trudeau told reporters on Wednesday.
Some have been saying so publicly as well, such as Eastern Ontario Conservative MP Daryl Kramp, who told a local radio station in his Prince EdwardHastings riding: The day it becomes personal thats the day Im not involved with that.
As well, The Canadian Press has been tracking Conservative MPs who are dissenters on the ads and at least eight have registered disapproval so far. And there could be more. I havent heard from anyone whos going to (use the ads,) Alberta MP Kevin Sorenson (Crowfoot) told CP.

Some are scared of their own shadow. Certain people are looking out for long knives.
Some openly criticize their mates.
Some break into tears when confronted.
And some lead a charge to surround the wagon.

(5,604 posts)they should be ashamed. That said, everything they said about Trudeau is true, but their tone, and delivery is laughable. However they won't attack him on any substantiative policy, because a) he hasn't really put much out, and b) what he has put out has been supportive of the Con's policy, ie: nexxan, keystone XL, Bill S-7, FIPPA etc.
