This is precisely why I am absolutely against secrecy in this country when the government is involved. The original report was edited when released by the senate. If people are paid by the public they need to be transparent when dealing with the public and those media outlets that investigate.

Awesome, in that it has so many tentacles it will take forever to unravel. Assuming the media can keep on it, it will be in the news for a long time.

Awesome, in that it deals with the Senate. It highlights Harper's hypocrisy about appointing senators, and wanting to reform it, when it is his own recent appointees who are at the centre of it.

Awesome, in that it's obviously reached to the inner circle of the PMO (Wright), which puts Harpo himself in the spotlight.

Awesome, in that it exposes an obvious lack of accountability, which Herr Harper claims to be one of the cornerstones of his government. You know, the "Harper Government".

Awesome, in that it deals with people in power getting money for something they don't deserve, and EVERYONE in the country can relate to the details. Taxpayers were paying for Duffy to have a cottage in PEI.

I'm loving it.
