Judges losing patience as anti-government tax-deniers clogging courts with ‘absurd’ claims

Everyone enjoys the benefits of tax payments. You can argue about where they are allocated, but not if you should pay. Why stay in Canada and suggest you are above paying taxes?

What tax-protestor followers generally do not know when they pay money to tax-protestor leaders, is that tax-protestor leaders can be left alone by our tax officials because many of the leaders fully pay their tax liabilities. They just don't tell their followers that.

I'm all for freedom and protesting what you want. The courts however have entertained hundreds of these, and secondly I personally find their arguments immoral. If these same suiters have a house that is burning they can call the fireman, when in trouble they can call a uniformed cop, if they are sick they can go to the hospital, so how do they justify not having to pay for these services?

Yes there is gross misuse of funding, but that is a different story altogether. Furthermore, this is costing a bundle of taxpayers money (ironically) to hear these arguments in court.

"I hear ya."

But I do agree that our brand of looniness seems to have migrated north.

He was an older guy who owned a used book store up the street from us. He was a real eccentric and hated the government, he wasn't right wing, just odd. He claimed he hadn't paid a dime in taxes in years. Well he no longer owns his book store cause developers came along, bought up the whole row of stores and there is a residential tower there now.
