Tim Hortons layoffs: Long-time employees escorted out the door

Story here

Uh-oh: not cool.

From the article:

Dozens of corporate Tim Hortons workers, including pregnant women and staff who had been with the chain for 30 years, were summoned to meet with outplacement agents and then escorted out the doors of its regional offices and headquarters yesterday as part of a nationwide restructuring.

This is what you get when you have sociopaths running society.

As John Lennon said many decades ago, "Our society is run by insane people for insane purposes. And they're going to say I'm insane for telling you that."

Even newly-released prisoners are allowed to walk through prison gates by themselves, to freedom. Yet these workers, are being treated, as if they're criminals.. The optics of this, won't look good on Canadian TV.

Can't wait to see how far they've fallen off next time we're there.

What to do?

I LOVE Timmies coffee, but I'm really not liking this. Around here there are a few other chains and some independent shops, but they are much farther away and most are pricier too. The Timmies I frequent the most is only a short walk from my house.

I'm bummed.
