They're expecting that the fires could burn for months, depending on weather. They're really at the mercy of winds and rain at this point. High winds and no rain means the fire spreads faster and faster.

I can't imagine all they have already lost and can never regain. Some areas of the US have had so much rain and Canada needs it so badly to put out the fires. I hope the situation turns around for them and they are able to recover.
