3. Yea, I've spent a lot of time in the UK - that photo amazes me

I remember being in Wales, once, and going through about 3 seasons worth of weather during a 2 hour train trip. I never headed out anywhere without my little unbrella. Love the UK, but the weather? Not so much.

It's a really hot summer day at the moment. A week ago, it was pouring!

I may have posted before that my friend as a child thought that the line in 'God Save the Queen', 'Long to reign over us', meant that it would rain over us for a long time. Quite appropriate to the British National Anthem!

I'm actually a Wednesdayite! And having spent 11 years living in Essex I have a wee soft spot for West Ham. Can't say the same about Arsenal or Spurs though.

It does beggar belief how the wheels fell off United's season following Ched Evans conviction for rape. It did allow us to sneak automatic promotion and as for the playoff's, Uniteds record in those is pretty abysmal, having failed to score once in 4 playoff finals (penalty shootout excepted).

The blue & white side of Sheffield has been gloating its socks off for a few weeks and that much is going to continue for some time yet.

17. Forecast for down south where I am

is 70's to Thursday with possible rain Tuesday and Wednesday and then mid 60's Friday. After 3 weeks of constant sun in Cuba, mid 30's, while it rained for 3 weeks here, I could do with cooling off anyway.
