'Tis but a breeze!

We generally get hit by the tail ends of American storm systems as they cross the Atlantic.

It's a bit more risky at the moment as the trees are still in full leaf, so we'll lose some branches, and even whole trees. Last night was a bit bumpy, I'll admit, and our chimney's already awaiting some serious maintenance, so I'm glad it's still standing. And the cat came in from his prowl looking like a drowned rat.

The winds are one thing, it's the gusts that do the damage. I'm about to go off on a shopping trip, so I'll see what it's wreaked overnight.

We have escaped. I can report that the Canaries are mid 20s, sunny and nice!
