Let's think the (previously) unthinkable ...

That it will be Labour, not the Conservatives, who will lead a coalition government.

I hoped so much that Corbyn would make a good showing, but the results so far exceed anything I imagined. It seems that the youngest voters did turn out for Labour, and they can be very proud of themselves.

At the very least, I think it will be goodbye to Theresa May. Not just because the Tories are losing seats fast, but for calling the election in the first place. What on earth possessed her to do this? It calls her judgment into question, and wouldn't bode well for her leading Brexit negotiations.

Labor here is ahead in all polls, but Shorten isn't exactly an inspiring leader. It might put some heart into the party that it's lacking at the moment.

Folks,

Excellent result ; UKIP gone, Nick Clegg gone, SNP will not get another independence vote and the Tories will have to be propped up by the DUP!

Britain is back to normal, thank the Lord.

The whole business of leaving the EU ensures that we won't be back to normal. And let's not forget the sort of people we are talking about with the DUP as part of a governing coalition.

After having campaigned on the argument that Corbyn is a terrorist sympathiser who will have to rule through a "coalition of chaos" Mayhem is now in a coalition with the DUP! The Tories are left looking incredibly stupid, and their dreadful campaign means that they only have themselves to blame. They had the chance to win big and they totally f**ked it up.

TiB,

This payback is lovely. Corbyn has seen off Cameron, May, Salmon and Clegg. Will it be Boris next in the ring?

The DUP thing is wicked. They won't have a hard Brexit border through the middle of Ireland, and they can call the shots.

Es normal (Callaghan).

LOL.

Talk about a hostage to fortune. Ever heard about chickens hatching?

Anyway, if this is the new "normal", I picked a bad week to quit sniffing glue.
