The outcome of this election will have an impact like no other on what our society will become...

The sky is as dark as my mood today. When I have finished writing this I am bundling up and heading to the polling station and although I always make sure I use my franchise – in every election since I was 18 – the outcome of this election will have an impact like no other on what our society will become, and the signs are not looking good.

Assuming the polls are correct, the far-right wing cult that has become the Tory party will win a majority and over the next few years we will be witness to the devastating consequences of this to both the Union and the economy.

Bad things that are about to happen:
*We will be out of EU in less than 2 months’ time.
*They will decline to seek an extension to the transition agreement in July, cause ‘Get Brexit Done’ *rolls eyes*.
*In December we’ll be back on the cliff edge –either signing up to whatever deal, if there is one, BoJo negotiates, or falling back on to no-deal. As there will be no extension safety net, no deal is likely IMO.
*We lose our EU rights to the freedom of movement.
*We will have a significant brain drain of highly experienced and skilled individuals as they return to the EU (which has already begun).
*They introduce a discriminatory far right racist points-based immigration system.
*International alliances will be strained to the point of breaking.

The bounders that are about to re-enter No 10 know that they cannot get Brexit done in any meaningful way, but hell, their privilege protects them marvellously as they lead us off into in the trade wasteland that Brexit is, a wasteland likely to last decades, struggling to patch up our trading relationships with pretty much everyone, while being in a much weakened position at the table. Got success written all over it. Add to that Scotland, the border in NI, Spain/Gibraltar, etc et al and in their zealous obsession about leaving one Union, they risk breaking up another…

Batten down the hatches chaps. Shit is about to get real…

OR

I could be wrong and hung parliament and 2nd referendum in 3..2..1..
(I don't like being wrong generally but here's hoping)
