Spain self-isolates after coming into contact with Grant Shapps

Spain has been forced into two weeks of quarantine after coming into contact with Grant Shapps.

Spain is paying the price, with residents caught out by the sudden isolation order.

Local person senorita Lorrainez Fisher, 34, said: “We thought things were improving and then a British cabinet minister turned up.

We were told the outbreak of Shapps was under control, but it seems we were misled.”

I really wish Spain would self isolate and the rest of the EU need to drop this open for business crap as well. Not the right way to handle this.

Not happy they have put the economy over lives but then I expected nothing less.

And to be honest, what worries me most right now is seeing places elsewhere have to tighten things up for a second time. Makes you realize how fragile any lifting of lockdown really is.

But now Spain has opened up again and it´s predictably going south again, yet Spain continues to advertise itself as a safe location at the same time more and more outbreaks are occuring. Mind you the rest of the EU have opened up as well, it´s totally ridiculous. Look to NZ, Australia and elsewhere for what should be done, borders are shut, still shut and they should be here too.

The decision made by the UK today for whatever the reason was wise and as a person li¡ving in Spain I wish anyone entering the country to be quarantining for two weeks as well.
I know your link is satire and I apologise for the frostiness, I´m tired and fed up is all. After all it could be worse and I feel more for those that are currently running a gauntlet that Spain will be doing soon.

Don't worry about appearing frosty. We live in horrible times.

It says something that if you want a holiday right now you have to take into account the likelihood of being quarantined, what will be open and what stuff will remain closed, social distancing regulations and how easily plans and arrangements can be cancelled!
