Hackers post 'EDL members' contact details' online

A list apparently showing the contact details of English Defence League members has been published online.

It has been posted by people claiming to be part of a computer hacking network known as Anonymous.

Names and addresses of more than 200 people from all over the country are on the list.

The post from a group calling itself Anonymous UK also includes the mobile telephone numbers of people it claims to be senior members of the EDL.

2. English Defence League - anti-immigrant and Islam group that organise marches

that often turn to violence. They were responsible for clashes with police in Woolwich immediately after the killing of the soldier there last week, when they called for people to take to the streets; the next day they spread lies on Twitter about Muslims celebrating the soldier's death, which the police had to spend time investigating and then disproving.

They are more or less in a symbiotic relationship with the extremist Muslims - one of them does something provocative, then the other overreacts, until there's some violence.
