Related: About this forumDoes anyone remember which 70's radio show...
There was one of the Sunday 1pm Radio 4 comedy shows which had a calypso song about James Bond
The only words I can remember any longer are
Savile Row suit and shoulder holster gun,
He found many mysteries that did perplex,
And found also plenty of time for Yes, thank you very much
I'd very much like to find a CD of those shows if possible.
It might have been "Im sorry I'll read that again" or "The Goon Show" or another of similar ilk.

(12,802 posts)You can listen on line to some old radio shows. Let me know if you find it. I can't stand it when I can't find this sort of thing on line.

(4,722 posts)Radioechoes has just chewed up my whole weekend
I had completely forgotten Round the Horn and Men from the Ministry.
I have tapes of the Navy Lark (but not all of them) and I think I'll down load the whole lot new.
Thanks so much.
I haven't found the original calypso I was asking about, but I'll shortly have hundreds of shows to listen to in the car.

(42,239 posts)When I think of our Sunday lunchtime / afternoon radio programs from those days its always "Round the Horn" which comes to mind.
On the subject of The Goons I've got every mp3s of every Goon Show ever broadcast.
Back to Round the Horn......................The collected Ramblings of Syd Rumpo here :
