Story hereIt has been years since the U.K. abolished criminal penalties for homosexuality. However, with few exceptions, the convictions of those prosecuted under the old law remain on record. Actors Stephen Fry and Benedict Cumberbatch have started a campaign to have the remaining historic convictions quashed. Guess who won't be joining them? Duke William and Duchess Kate.

They are used to justify the continuing place of the monarchy. But I do think Charles and Diana actually wanted to do some good. Sigh.
