Govt. to privatize remaining 30% of stake in Royal Mail

The U.K. government is set to sell off its remaining 30% of its stake in the Royal Mail. It also plans service cuts.

Privatizing things generally makes them worse, I've found!

And apparently the Post Office had been a nationalized utility, not since the postwar period like many things, but since the 17th century. You'd think even a Conservative - or perhaps especially a Conservative - would think twice about tampering with such a tradition. But George Osborne, of course, rarely thinks at all, let alone twice.
