Tony Blair concedes link between Islamic State and Iraq War

Tony Blair has apologised for mistakes during the Iraq War - and said there were "elements of truth" to claims it caused the rise of Islamic State.

The ex-PM said "those of us who removed Saddam" did bear some responsibility for the situation in Iraq today.

But he again defended the invasion, saying it was "hard to apologise" for removing Saddam Hussein and that Iraq might have become like Syria otherwise...

Mr Blair's comments come shortly before Sir John Chilcot announces a timetable for completion of his inquiry into the war.

and the venality of political leaders, in power, who knowingly and willfully lie to the world so as to make way for their bloodthirsty backers, the war profiteers.
There's nobody worse than those people, like Blair, who plotted out such a war crime over such a long period of time, who carried out the war crime, and who smiled and smiled and smiled. Talk about first degree culpability.

I don't give ANY of them the excuse that they got tricked into it. Not even close.

That makes everything better.

And it shows how he's a better person than all those who stood against the war, the lies, the profiteering. They didn't evolve on anything - they're SO stuck in the past.

the lies and the demonizing of those who pointed out what a damn fool - and illegal - neocon adventure it all was.

Then we can make a start on David Kelly etc.
