2017 VA Lt Governors and 2021 VA Governors Race- Justin Fairfax-D.

Justin Fairfax-D won the 2017 VA Lt Governors Race by a 52-48 percent margin.
VA Governorship is limited to one term. Northam-D cannot seek re-election in 2021. Fairfax-D is likely to be the next Governor of VA in 2022 and the 2nd black Governor of VA after Doug Wilder.
