..the way and make room for the next generation of young talented, intelligent individuals. So yes, Gabbard/Castro ticket, I see this as a landslide win in 2020. I believe our country is ready for a diverse, inclusive ticket, Obama, Clinton paved the way for the next generation of leaders and unlike the republikkklan party, our party is the face of America.

Frankly, i'd like to see two women leading the ticket in 2020. Perhaps a ticket of wth any two of the foll wing: Kamala Harris, Tammy Duckworth , Tulsi Gabbard, Elizabeth Warren, and Carmen Yulin-Cruz, Mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico (Cruz is passionate, aggressive leader who tells it like it is.) All are outstanding individuals.

Also, so what if future candidates happen to be people of color, probably know more than one language, so what if one is Latino, Hispanic, Puerto Rican , Native Hawaiian, as long as are they are qualified, experienced, educated, smart leaders, decent human beings who genuinely care about social, economic and environmental justice. We, the democratic party relish our big inclusive tent where we sincerely believe all people are created equal, have the same rights...well then, it's time we see people as people and not judge anyone by the color of their skin, ethnicity, ethnic group. Sadly, today we have a white supremacist in the white house who choses to divide us, instill fear of the other (meaning non white, non christoan, lgbt, immigrant, refugee) yet, the republikkklan party is a party of the past where racism, bigotry hate exists and we all know that their days are numbered. We are the party of the future...striving to make this country a better place for all it's citizens, leaving it a better place for future generations.

...in America is based on party identity..it's only when the status quo is being threatened that the term identity politics gains traction and is seen as negative when women, non white, non Christian, lgbt who advocate for social, economic, environmental rights dare to challenge that status quo. Yet, time and demographic change is on our side--and we will be a pluralistic society.

As for Gabbard, she curently serves in the military; is a smart, articulate educated, experienced democratic politician who happens to be a woman, samoan/native haw wain, a practicing Hindu ....and of recent DID NOT throw Al Franken under the bus..and DID NOT join the Senate democrats in asking for his resignation (at this time not sure if any USrepresentatives call for his resignation more particularly, Gabbard) she is an American hero serving in our military, true to party. We all have flaws, some more than others ..say trumpf, so compared to him ...republikkklans--any qualified democrat is the better choice. Yet, describing Gabbard as volatile? Well, I sincerely disagree.

It made me feel that she lacked some judgment. Can she build a coalition, or does she burn too many bridges?
