In VT- Governor Phil Scott-R is the only current high profiled Republican elected official in VT. The lt Governor of VT- David Zuckerman is a member of the Progressive Party.
In MA- Governor Charlie Baker-R and Lt Governor Karyn Polito-R are the only Republican statewide elected officials in MA. Baker can appoint himself to the US Senate and let Polito become Governor.
