Cardin-MD has been in elected office since 1967.
MD State House 1967-1987(State House Speaker from 1979 to 1987)
US House 1987-2007
US Senate 2007- 2025.
Cardin-D has close to 60 years service in elected.

Sanders-VT has been in elected office since 1981.
Mayor of Burlingtom 1981-1989
US House 1990-2007
US Senate 2007-2025.

Cardin-MD(Sarbanes-D) Raskin-D is more likely remain in the US House to chair the US House Oversight and Reform commitee.

Sanders-VT(Balint-D,Gray-D,or Zuckerman-D).
