Sanders,Cardin,and King are in their early 80’s. They will be in their late 80’s in 2030.
Diane Feinstein-CA and Chuck Grassley-IA will be over 90 years old the next time they face re-election. Mitch McConnell-KY will be 84 years old when he is up for re-election in 2026. Richard Durbin-IL will be 82 years old when he is up for re-election in 2026. Ed Markey-MA will be 80 years old when he is up for re-election in 2026.
Bernie Sanders successor in 2024 will be Becca Balint.
Ben Cardin’s successor in 2024 will be John Sarbanes or Jamie Raskin.
Angus King’s successor in 2024 will be Chellie or Hannah Pingree.

Ben Cardin’s successor in 2030 will be Wes Moore if he does not run for President or does not become a member of the next Democratic Presidential Administration. Aruna Miller, Anthony Brown or Brooke Lierman. Miller,Brown,and Lierman are also candidates for Governor. Sarbanes,Raskin,and Ivey will also be the candidates to succeed Cardin in 2030.
Angus King’s successor in 2030 will be Jared Golden.
