I swear I saw or heard something recently about an appearance by Pres. Obama, perhaps at a fundraiser attended by wealthy, maybe Silicon Valley types? At which he said something along the lines of, we are now at the point that (some small number, maybe 200?) people have (because of their wealth and the lack of campaign spending limits) the power to choose the next President, not withstanding the will of (some gigantlcally more vast number of the rest of us); and then, as I understand, he actually revised himself to say, no, it's probably just 5 (or so) people in this room who have that power. And I think he added something along the lines of, and that's not the way it should be.

Even the NPR or whatever reporters reporting it seemed discomfited by this statement.

I've tried various searches without success; can you point me to it?

Please K&R for visibility 'til the answer's turned up –– thanks!
