Only 29 states allow registered voters to take time off work to vote.

Election day should really be a national holiday. If we want to increase voter turnout, our current system is not the way to do it. The change has to come at the Federal level so all states have to follow suit.

Several states do 100% of the voting by mail or dropped off ballots, and have no trouble processing them. If there are always going to be mailed ballots anyway, why continue with a hybrid system?
